Abstract
The quality dashboards available in our electronic medical record were not meeting the needs of family medicine leadership and clinical staff. Tableau (version 2018.1) was utilized to codevelop a dashboard with input from quality educators, physicians, and technical partners. An iterative process resulted in a tool with improved functionality and additional data detail including number of patients needed to reach goal, performance relative to peers and national benchmarks on HEDIS and other commonly tracked measures, and 12-month trends. In our discussion we will review stakeholder composition, the pilot program and accompanying survey, and how the dashboard better enables leadership and staff to makes strategic decisions in a timely manner.
