Abstract
• Severe TR is highlighted by a dense, triangular CW jet profile. • RV dilation and reduced systolic function are indicative of late-stage TR. • IVC dilation and pulsatility and systolic flow reversal of hepatic veins are hallmarks of severe TR. • Surgical intervention is usually recommended in patients with symptomatic, severe TR in whom medical therapy is unsuccessful.
