HIV legal update--Part 2.
Publication/Presentation Date

Abstract
A relatively new type of claim has been asserted by individuals--injury based on their fear of contracting acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) by a potential exposure to a person infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Recognizing this claim could provide employers with an incentive to exclude or isolate HIV-infected individuals in the workplace to avoid liability to third persons who are concerned about possible HIV transmission.
