Abstract
PURPOSE: To describe a case of prominent corneal nerves observed in a patient after diagnosis of multiple myeloma.
METHODS: Case report and literature review.
RESULTS: A 65-year-old woman with a history of multiple myeloma was referred for chronic epitheliopathy in the left eye. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma 3 years before presentation and underwent treatment at that time. On examination, she was noted to have prominent corneal nerves bilaterally with absent corneal sensation.
CONCLUSION: Multiple myeloma caused prominent corneal nerves and reduced corneal sensitivity.
